What happened to AnyQuestions?

Did I miss something? I came for an update & see his thread was not just locked but deleted.
Was he confirmed to be full of crap & lying the whole time or what?
Did he ask for it to be deleted?
Sorry if this has been asked but I don't see it anywhere.

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

Why would my thread get moved to here? WTF?
At least you could have answered the question before moving it.

I don't get it either man.

1.) Why move it without taking 2 seconds to answer the question?

2.) I logged on this morning just to read the rest of that thread as I only got through like half of it yesterday.

Wish I had an answer for you

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

Yeah something sure stinks about that. Things certainly seem to be being censored here and while it is well within the rights of 2p2 to do so if they desire it doesn't make it smell any less 'funny'

You can still get a good bit of it by using google's cache

search site:twoplustwo.com AnyQuestions
search site:twoplustwo.com FTP Employees answer questions

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

idk but Mike Haven posted something simply saying "test" an hour or two ago - perhaps he was looking into the veracity of some stuff/ip's or something?

Maybe he was asked to take it down and will reveal all here, hence the move?

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

That thread was deleted by the request of the OP, who PMed me stating that he had been threatened with a lawsuit and needed the thread to be deleted in order to avoid the suit.

There was nothing shady about this, I received a PM with his request and deleted the thread as a result. And THIS thread was moved to ATF because questions about mod decisions (such as deleted posts and threads) belong in ATF, not in the forum in which the action took place. The mod who moved this thread may not have even known the answer to the question in the OP, since I'm the mod who received the PM and deleted the thread in question. He probably just saw a thread that belonged in ATF and acted accordingly.

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

Sorry. I lazily moved this thread without responding because RJ deleted the original thread (though I'd also been contacted by OP and would've deleted it if RJ didn't).

And so now the full extent of the conspiracy has been revealed.

Honestly, thanks FTP. Let's us know that the answers were indicative enough of the inner workings of Full Tilt to be lawsuit-worthy.

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

Wish him luck in getting it removed from Googles cache and the other page caching sites.

I am not a lawyer but I do not see how it could be proven solid enough who did the posting. I do not see how 2p2 could legally be compelled to divulge the IP of the poster.

Ah well from now on prob best to output these type threads to a PDF, I had read all but page 6 and maybe the last few posts on page 7.

I think it was the bot-catching stuff. That stuff probably shouldn't be posted publicly, though I don't think that he actually said anything particularly surprising.

It appears that the attorneys weren't "made obsolete" by the layoffs at Full Tilt.

Someone sent me a PM because they could not find the cache link on google.
This might help them and anyone else that needs it.
Hover mouse over >> and it will expand page.

Unless he signed some sort of confidentiality agreement regarding his time at FTP, then does all of this not fall under freedom of speech?

Good luck AQ in finding a Job Sir!

Conspiracy Conspiracy Conspiracy!!!

I liked that the first reaction by people was that it was a 2p2 cover up.

Re: What happened to AnyQuestions?

He PMed me first.

I wouldn't delete it, as others had put too much of their time and effort into the thread, but I did offer to lock it. He didn't write back to me.

An anonymous user in an anonymous forum giving general information could not be sued successfully, imo; it would be laughable. But then, I'm not a lawyer, so I may be totally wrong in my thinking.

Admittedly, I would have probably deleted some specific posts if he had given very good reasons so to do.

1. He wasn't a US-based employee
2. "Freedom of Speech" has nothing to do with posting information about a former employer. It also doesn't mean that you can post anything you want about anything you want and the site's admins have to let you. Likewise, if you call a cop a "f'ing pig" to his face (regardless of how much he deserves it), you're not walking away unscathed.

It is fairly certain that he signed some sort of confidentiality agreement. TBH, he gave a positive spin to what was going on at FTP. However, I can see how top management would be unpleased.

Then I would imagine that Swedish guy who posted on pokerforum.nu is in for a call from a lawyer, as his characteristics of the upper management was a lot nastier than AQs.

And I didn't notice your note when he PMed me, which is why I locked down the thread.

It can, of course, always be reopened if that's the overwhelming desire of the the posters. Everyone gives up rights to whatever they post when they post it. "I'm going to get sued" just seemed like a good reason to delete it, although I knew people were going to miss the thread and wonder where it went.

Still, had I known that he asked an orange mod first and been told "no", I would have let him know that he would need to appeal to an admin if he wanted that decision overturned.
