There is such a button, albeit a bit farther away than the "Index" link used to be.

Just scroll past the Quick Reply form at the bottom of the page and you will see a "Forum Jump" dropdown list and a "Go" button. Since the dropdown list defaults to the current forum, the "Go" button does exactly what you want it to do.

yeah I found it like 15 seconds ago - it'd be nice if it were above the quick reply beside the previous thread | next thread thing

thanks for the help though

An optional feature of the thread list is thread status color highlighting. Each listing will have a different background color depending on its nature, such as locked, new, replied to by you. You edit that option under the User Control Panel, or the link, "My 2+2 -> Edit Options".
1) Does an option exist where it will take me to the most recent post I have not yet read, in a thread that I have read previously?

2) In the past it stated, in parenthesis, how many new posts were in a thread I had read previously. Is that not an option anymore?

3) Also, I don't see the thread list status color option anywhere in the "Edit Options" section. Am I just missing it?

1) The "jump to first post" function should do this, look for this icon:

2) No count (asbolute or otherwise) of new posts to a thread is currently available

3) You should see it at the very bottom under the section called "Miscellaneous Options." Use this link to Edit Options

I can't seem to find the integrated hand converter...

When you start a thread, there's a bar at the top that says

"The Two Plus Two Hand Converter: Powered by DeucesCracked.com____Click to expand"

I'm trying to get used to this new format. How come posts are now labled by # and do not tell you who the person is responding to. That was one of my favorite features, knowing who someone was replying to. Is there any way to regain that feature?

Is there a way to change a thread title once it has been submitted? Might be handy to add NSFW tags after the fact.

Are this colours changeable ? The only reason I ask is that, I have experimented with all the skins and they are not that distinguishable imo. Is there any way of setting our own custom colours ?

I'm getting used to the "Jump To" button, I suppose it works equally well as the old UBB system used to work and will just take some getting use to !

If some more questions that have come to me, although some of them may have been posted above, I'll have to have a re-read through the thread again I guess..

If there isn't, ask the forum's mods to edit for you?

(they may kill me for that suggestion... or ban you first :P

You seriously see this as hugely different, and difficult to make out the author?

Or, are you referring to quick scanning of posters?

I really love the feature of being able to tell the Mods why I'm reporting a post/thread. However I'm a little worried about the disclaimer at the bottom.

Quote:
Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.
This doesn't include threads that are against that forum's sticky, banned posters, and other reasons that I would notify Mods about a post. It's calling for a pretty limited scope of action. I'll still notify mods on those issues and write it in I was just hoping we could see more latitude in the disclaimer.

On another note, this change to VB is great. I love the new buddy list pop up feature, and all the other smart choices that have been made. 2+2 made the right choice.

How do I "show all"?

Any update on displaying lots of threads in the index?

Jesus, can we PLEASE put the answers to these two in HUGE TYPE at the top of the forum?

You can't show all.

You can't change the number of threads in the index. The admins can, but they're not going to do it just yet. There are performance considerations.

lol read my guide thread.

we can change it, but we will not until the admins have benchmarked the new server performance at various settings to gauge the impact of the settings.

So please people stop posting about this. If we are allowed (based on performance concerns), it will come

I've tried and tried, but I still don't get how you do the spoiler thing.

I know the code is "spoil" but I don't know what that means.

Can someone explain this to me, step by step, in language a moron can understand?

Spoiler:
Put the spoil tags around the text you want to be in the spoiler window just like you would put [quote] tags around a quote

I agree with this. I also would like to know if there is a way to eliminate the "more below this post" feature of threaded mode.

Also, I liked the way threaded mode always showed the most recent reply first. It seems that we now have to do a lot of digging to find the most recent replies in a thread...that is except for the most recent reply which is now easier to find.

From one moron to another--you put the word spoil inside these brackets: []Then you put whatever you want hidden here. You end the process by putting the closer sign / in the final bracket: /spoil.

If we write it all out, you'll just see the finished result. So, set of brackets:

[]
inside them write:

spoil
then write:

stuff you want hidden
another set of brackets:

[]

inside those you write:
/spoil

If you find a post with a spoiler in it, and quote it to reply, all the code should show up.
