Viewing 2p2 from iphone/Android: Tapatalk - Page 48 - About the Forums

Hi, I use the 2+2 app for IPhone and I recently upgraded to IPhone 6 and since then I often get logged out from the app.

It use to be that I would stay logged in for weeks, now I need to login multiple times a week

I don't think your upgrade is relevant.

The more I read this thread the happier I am that I'm still on version 3 of Tapatalk.

The app works and doesn't have ads. 2 major benefits of not "upgrading".

Thanks. I am noticing an improvement as well. Occassionaly it takes 10-15 seconds to connect to the network but it doesn't fail and the forum/thread eventually loads without the network error.

One thing I noticed (Android, legacy app) was that despite it prompting me to log in again, I was always able to just cancel the prompt or reload the app, and I'd already be logged in. I don't think I ever actually retyped my username & password to relogin.

This Tapatalk thing sounds cool. The 2p2 forum app is kinda clunky when it comes to posting. So, I'm looking forward to using Tapatalk!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I've noticed the App constantly logs me off and sometimes when I enter my password I get an incorrect password message pop up.

Any ideas on how to fix this ? Is this a known issue or bug?

I upgraded my phone from a 5s to a 6s and I was paranoid that it would automatically update apps during the restore from icloud process.

Nope!

I have a really basic/stupid question to ask. (And keep in mind that I'm an old guy who just got his first smart phone a couple of years ago.) I've always just used Chrome or Explorer to access 2+2 from my phone or laptop; what is the benefit of going through an app such as Tapatalk to lurk or to post here? I've read that it's easier to post pics through Tapatalk, and in fact, that's why I'm exploring this option. But other than that, is there any other major benefit from doing so?

That being said, IMO it's very shortsighted of you and the other 2p2b to not develop your own standalone app and take 100% of the mobile ad revenue. Which, if you follow the trend in the past 14 months, mobile ads are where the money is flowing.

I could be missing something, but I believe allowing tapatalk to take their 30% cut on ads (assumption based on the current market) is negligent.

Someone might not understand cost and time and ongoing suppkrt to take an app to market
