like, is there any time of the day right now that you're not posting anyways? Are you gonna use the phone to post on 2 devices at the same time?

But there isn't an iPhone app yet, just something in beta. Everyone's all excited, and as I said a couple days ago, it's way cool so imo everyone should be excited, but it's not ready yet. In a way it's unfortunate that the beta has become the subject of such public discussion, and I realize that's partly my fault (and for that I apologize), but I see all the excitement reflected here as (what looks like) impatience, and I can see behind the scenes that the PTB are working to get it out as soon as they can... but not until it's ready.

After that, I would think (but have no inside knowledge on the point) that the droid version will come soon thereafter.

I'm not singling you out deliberately, mets, yours was just the most recent post when I got to this; I'd been thinking about this for the last couple days and finally got around to saying it out loud. Kiera and Mat don't post often in this thread, but I think everyone is best served if they spend their time doing what they can to get this thing ready for prime time.

Patience, folks.

btw, I got a couple questions by PM about post #321. For the record:
 • Yes, it's a moose.
 • Yes, that's atakpup.
 • Yes, the picture was taken with my iPhone (my older one).
 • Yes, that post was made using the app.

Spoiler:

I noticed colored text doesn't work but when a hand history is posted, you can see the colored text from the app. It uses the same tags afaict

Also an image posted in a spoiler just appears as the image with no spoiler.

Colored text tags work (at least many colors; I haven't tried them all) as long as there's no other tag breaking it (such as a spoiler preceding it).

Spoiler behavior vis a vis images already noted. Way ahead of you here.

... but I don't know what's breaking it in that post of yours. Maybe the strikeout tag?

I got it now.

When I typed the tags as [COLOR="Red"[/COLOR it didn't show on the app. (Which is the tag when when you click on the text color button in firefox or whatever.

When the tags are typed as [COLOR=Red[/COLOR, without the quotations it shows as colored text on the app.

This should show up broken on the app

This should be red on the app.

Aha.

It has something to do with this: on the forum the tag reads as ; on the app it is . Something's causing it to read it to insert the quotation marks, I think. But not all the time.

Edit: so you typed it with the quotation marks? I guess that must mean on a browser it can read it correctly either way, while the app requires perfect syntax.

Not for me — when I use the dropdown in the WYSIWYG menu, I get the tags without the quotation marks.

Yep. That must be it.

On the standard editor it uses the quotation marks. I

If the standard editor did it without them this wouldn't be a problem.

So next question is why you're getting tags with the quotation marks, and I'm not.

I'm getting the tags without the quotation marks, no matter what I do. The question is why you're getting them sometimes.

I've also seen other broken color tags while browsing, so you're not the only one. Most colored text shows correctly, though.

Maybe it's browser-specific, or browser+OS. (I'm on FF4+MacOS; will try other variations.)

Got it, I think:

Red text from WYSIWYG — quick reply box.

Red text from usual "Reply to thread" composition menu (WYSIWYG), after having started message in quick reply.

Edit — now mine is putting in the quotation marks. This is very odd.
