A quick look at navigation on the new app...
After you log in, you see the major forum groups:
Selecting the group gives you forums:
Selecting the forum shows you the list of topics. (All of these are scrollable, of course)
You then select page number, and scroll to posts. It seems to have set me at twenty posts per page (which isn't my usual setting); I don't know whether this is configurable. Scrolling is easy and fast. When there are unread posts in a forum, click the post number (with a a dark background) takes you to the first unread.
The posts look like this:
Note that clicking that image in the last post (mine) took me to a blowup of the image.
To reply, click on any post to quote it and reply:
I don't see a way to multiquote, nor to reply without quoting someone, though they may be here. If not, it's a weakness, as we don't always want to quote someone, but frankly I'm probably just missing it.

- It's incredibly easy to use.
- It looks great on an iPhone 4. My iPhone 3, with the lower-resolution screen, isn't connected to a network any more but I can still use it with WiFi, so I'll be trying it later.
- It's hella fast, at least on WiFi.
- There seem to be some functions that one might like but that aren't available. I may simply not have found them yet.

More fun images:
The posts per page is settable. The default is now twenty, with a max of fifty; my experience surfing on my phone say this will be fine even for those who use 100 ppp normally. Importantly, changing this setting did not change my account settings for regular browser surfing.
You can view your, or anyone else's, profile. Interestingly, you cannot change most of the fields, such as location. Also, note that here I'm shown as being visible, but in fact I'm not — my profile is set to invisible mode and that is neither changed by, nor changeable in, the 2p2 app.
Oh, and this is fun stuff I've never noticed before — it's visible on the forum home page, at the bottom, but I never go there, whereas in the app it's a couple clicks away:
No question in my mind at this point: everyone who does any browsing of the forum from a phone is going to want this app.

I like the favorites/subscribe to forum feature. I can have a list of only the forums I read.
BTW, atakdog and abe, did you guys post those pics directly from the app? Cause it wouldn't let me upload the pic. I had to upload it to my photobucket account.
