For me personally, starting all over again from stranger or whatever must be almost like dying, no less. All I built, both join time and post count, going down the ****ing drain.

Figured this was the most closely related section to what I'm looking for. I wanted to inquire about altering my username, such that it isn't so easily traceable back to my real identity. Having a unique name means I'm more easily searchable online and I'd rather have a pseudonym here, if possible. Not so I can go off the rails posting, I'm a very tame poster, but just because some anonymity would be more comfortable.

This kind of request could get out of hand if everyone asked for it whenever they wanted a new name, but I hope the way I present this can shed light as to why it would be a good idea.

Any suggestions from the mods?

Nice of you to have that real name change option. An absolute no changing to an absolute yes when things get real.

I pretty much grant these upon request, but i demand a legitimate reason and when more than one person asks in a week, i become very slow in fulfilling the requests because it would be a big hassle to do it a lot.

since it is easy, and allowed, to make multiple accounts, that is frequently the better option.
