Beause if you banned yourself, it would say "banned" under your name. Your posting title would then be "banned", in a sense. Which isn't really a desirable title, is it?

There is no way that a user can change their undertitle. the closest a user can come to changing it themselves is to post in the ban me thread. Sorry about the confusion. To make it up to you, i have changed my undertitle on your behalf.
