I'm guessing it's because some people take post counts seriously in the context of evaluating possible scammers, and posts in omg by a spammer racking up post count would easily be missed.

POG on the other hand, a spammer couldn't really blend into unless he actually played in games.

Yeah they had to move them back because of the uprising that ensued.
