Swears - About the Forums - About Two Plus Two Forum

Hey kiddos,
I'm pretty new here, so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place. I couldn't find anything in the FAQ about this or elsewhere on the forums.

I noticed that swear words seem to be converted automatically to asterisks. Is there a setting to make it not convert to asterisks? Not that I generally can't figure out the word, but you know, sometimes I'm an idiot and can't figure it out.

Seriously, it must have contained swear word(s)?

Dik**** is allowed because it's a name. It's not circumventing the filter. What if ***** and ******** would mean preki and plaaynde? How would we feel then?

One of mine was deleted. It was just Carlin's 7 dirty words but with a strategically placed accent on one letter of each word. I was worried I got banned, but fortunately I didn't... yet.

There are words that are fltered on 2+2 that make no ****ing sense

Try to write w-o-t-e-v-a without the hyphens, for example.

Seriously though, think ****** needs some explanation...tried to google and didn't find anything defending it being a profanity. There's even an iPhone app named "******!"
