I'll start off with this one.

When linking to a post in a long thread, linking to your page view which many do, will not take most folks to a view of your post. This is due to members having the ability to set a different number of posts per page so they end up on a page that probably does not include your post.

Linking to a single post is fine but folks will not get the context of the rest of the conversation.

My suggestion is to post a link that will take anyone directly to your post in the thread. You can generate this link with a few clicks.

First click your post number, which takes you to a single post view. In this view on the upper right, there is a link right above the post number that you copy. This is the link to your post in the thread. Tweet that

This was your 15,000th post.

After the last post in a thread, under the Quick Reply box, click on "Next Thread" if you want to read the next thread in entirety.

How about allowing mods to filterpwn certain words on their pages? For instance, if you post the word 'First' or 'First Post' on Fark, it's automatically changed to 'Boobies'. Or if you try to post the N word, it's changed to 'Attractive and Successful People'.

I'm sure it will never be abused.

Twitter embed function is totally borked, wtf, it keeps changing the first three numbers of embedded tweets to asterisks

It was the result of a spam prevention initiative that has been retired.

So I just tried to embed a tweet - sometimes it works, other times it comes up blank.

Can someone tell me exactly what to post between the twitter tags that appear when you click on the twitter logo?

Is there a reason I can't see embedded tweets? I'm using firefox on desktop. To be clear, I know how to post tweets in a thread - I mean that when someone else embeds a tweet it shows up as a blank post for me, when other people are clearly able to see it. Any ideas?

turns out it was a firefox extension called Disconnect, which blocks advertising and analytics trackers. i've whitelisted 2p2 and now they show up.
