I’ve gotten spam messages about this software a half dozen times. All of them at least touting how fast it is, most of them explicitly calling it RTA

I am calm, I was merely pointing out, that these idiots should have as little exposure as possible. You did the right thing by making this thread, I just don't think a screenshot/links to their product is necessary. They should, as you say, be banned from 2+2 immediately.

If only there was a way to click a button that reports a post to moderators, without having to promote the link yourself.

Which specific post would you suggest reporting from the software support thread that they've been allowed to have open here for 2 months?

I kind of feel like decisions like this might be a bit bigger than that of a single moderator when I assume they're paying for advertising here. Perhaps I am wrong in that and shouldn't assume that they've been vetted and allowed to advertise here.

I will once again state that the amount of eyeballs seeing this here in this low traffic subsection of this forum pales in comparison and is dwarfed by the amount of poker community eyeballs who have had their private inboxes spammed by these guys, and I'm just talking about Discord. They probably advertise on other platforms as well.

While the reply about reporting the posts would usually be good advice, in this case unfortunately the thread had been reported a number of times over the last few months. We may have less active moderators in that forum these days, or perhaps they didn't agree it was an issue for some reason. Sometimes we get an early post report without a lot of info, then more info comes to light but subsequent post reports aren't followed up on as thoroughly.

Andrew contacted me this morning about it, we discussed it, and agreed it should come down.

2+2 currently isn't taking payment for any threads, AFAIK. Global/BetOnline/Stars forums might be paid, but I'm not positive.

Edit to add: Max & Andrew have removed them from Discord.

They sound like sore losers IMO by accusing other people of cheating.

Very few players at the top actually cheated their way to the top and most of the ones who do get caught if they make it to the highest stakes, at least on reputable sites.

Did some research on this today. It's pretty blatant, and might even be a reskin of a previous attempt, what with everything being posted from 11th January onwards. There are some streamers and one player purporting to be suckratess88 (a player with $300k+ online). Very suspicious and something needs to be done.

I always like to stay ahead of the curb too. The curb doesn't move, so it's important that you stay ahead of it.

View: If this stuff was truly super valuable, they'd just use it to stake players. The relatively low flat fee for what it promises is a huge red flag. If you're ever going to find a magic bullet, it won't be through someone spamming it on the most popular outlets online, discord/2p2/reddit/etc. Successful cheating has gone on for years, especially with RTA, and it's never sold this way because it's way less profitable/brings unnecessary fear-based attention towards it. Even dumb software creators wouldn't do this. This is likely just taking some solutions on GTO software and displaying them in real time for a significant fee. And while that CAN be valuable, it likely isn't too valuable and certainly not an "auto winner" like it implies.

These guys have returned with a new thread under a rebranded product. Around mid-September I noticed the name of their Discord server had changed from Z to simstudio. Given the fact that they previously promoted their product as RTA, which they admit to in the screenshot shown in post #16 above, I don't think they should be allowed to promote a rebranding of it here either. By looking at the website you might think this is just a poor version of GTOWizard. If you take a look at the settings you'll find this Post-flop RNG option, which highlights what action to take from the mixed sizing options based on the RNG, in this case 97. The features programs like GTOWizard have to study and train against the solutions are missing from this one. While they're not coming right out and saying it, the intended purpose of this program is clearly RTA.

It's clearly RTA. There is no useful utility in having an RNG in a sim to tell you what action to choose other than for RTA. He was already banned from here when the product was under a different name.

He thought he was clever and could return here by rebranding and changing the name of his Discord server to make it look like he had several customers instead of paying to acquire new customers for a new server. His server is not even open for discussion, it's all private and has been since he was called out for selling RTA under his previous name. There are no legitimate poker software support Discord servers which don't allow for open discussion of their product.

The first time around, these guys got the benefit of the doubt and we looked into the software before acting. This time, I think it's incumbent on them to show why they should be allowed to have a thread here again. I'm not active enough in online poker these days to consider myself qualified to assess software, so if "Sim-Studio" wants to make their case for why they should have a thread here, they should contact ownership. If they're having any trouble doing so, they should feel free to email me at the address in my profile, and I'll put them in touch.

In the meantime, I'll be deleting that thread and banning the branded account. Thanks once again to MCA for being on top of this. Also, I've now added myself back on as a mod of the software forums so I'll see any future post reports.
