Most weren't. Some were. And some were taking shots at the SMP forum and its posters in general, even those who weren't involved here. It was this alone that I objected to. (I guess some of it was obvious sarcasm but it still pushes my buttons.)

Uh, you might want to go back and read the threads. Those things are being said because SMP posters (heck, even Mason) said things about it just being too high level for outsiders to understand. They're getting mocked for claiming they use science and reason to study untenable topics and then coming up with illogical defenses of Bruce's posting.

One example being FoldnDark saying Bruce can't be a racist because he's just play acting as a rasict. When Bruce then says those are his actual views FoldnDark still won't denounce them as racist. You can't play act as a racist on one hand and not be saying racist things on the other.

Many of the arguments and defenses put forward by SMP regulars have been laughably bad and deserving of "shots" in these discussions. Your irritation should be at their poor examples of logic and reason, rather than supporting your "tribe" against onslaught, assuming you value what you purport to value. DUCY?

Nobody has sniped at his math posts. People have sniped at the idea that his math posts give him a free pass.

I guess it makes sense that someone who values their own kind such that they can't stand to see them put down by outsiders, or even acknowledge they might be wrong on something, would be all about letting racists run rampant in their name.
