No clue why, I don’t think we ever crossed paths until he banned me in ott for defending myself against two attacks which I felt were unwarranted. So I get banned earlier this week with something about containment and I’m totally lost so I post here. I post like 3 more times in ott a few days later and I get banned again! Why? Containment. Realize I got no pm about what containment actually is. It’s not until after my second ban that I figure out 27s mind meld and realize what containment entails. My sin? I defended myself in a fast food thread where people I’ve never even talked to before would just randomly go off on how horrible my food tastes were! They made it personal so I replied with “gfy” and 27 pretends like this is the most outrageous thing he’s ever heard and “contains” me. Bryce is correct, they do not like outside opinions and the second attacker , much like in sports, Is always punished.

i just noticed pontylad is banned and don't think i've ever seen a mod having been banned before. what happened? after checking his latest posts from a few days ago i got the inclination that it may have something to do with a discussion with ladybruin. curious!

I was perma-banned for "unwanted spam" for posting this in the dedicated Coronavirus thread. Can the mods here let me know if they agree with this? I'm an old-time user of these forums wondering if I should come back or just stay away. I think its clear I was not spamming and that my discourse was sincere and rational. But if its "unwanted"... so be it.

So he appears to be referring to the LexVeldhuis 2+2 account. It was registered this past October, has one post, and isn't banned.

Glad I looked in this thread so I can help you. I almost never come in this area of 2+2 so kinda hit or miss that I actually saw this post of yours. It might be useful next time to PM the mod that banned you (me) to hear a more detailed explanation. (I think any user has the ability to PM a mod).

Your post was in Politics & Society. There are two active mods in that forum. My MO is to not allow any "controversial" posts from first time posters in P&S. Established posters yes, noobs no. This MO came out of the run up to the 2020 US election where posts were coming at a fevered pitch from all directions of the political compass. My thinking as well as the other active P&S mod was that a noob poster during that cycle was most likely registering and posting to create controversy...... not conversation.

I have chosen to continue (and will continue) to moderate P&S in this manner. Please consider joining and becoming an active participant of other areas of 2+2 (poker strat?) before venturing into P&S. Eventually we will probably love your contributions..... or not

This is Zac... I don't know who you were speaking to, but it wasn't me. That's not my Cash App and I don't work with BSB. I would suggest looking for groups on 2+2 or Reddit. Furthermore, check the spelling or whatever on who you were talking to. I've never spoken with you on Telegram.

As for 2+2, I find it abhorrent to be banned without being given a chance to respond or comment on this. Absolutely ridiculous. I've been in the poker community for over fifteen years and would never sully my reputation over this nonsense.

i have no horse in this race and do not know either involved parties, but the entire conversation took less than 20 minutes. creating two accounts and having them chat to each other for < 20 minutes would take about half an hour. i imagine a lot of scammers do a lot more work for $300.

The point was that, if the guy is going to phony up screenshots of a conversation to support a claim that he was scammed by VaporKing, he'd likely have used a number bigger than $300.

So one can create an entire thread calling people from a specific region of a state garbage and it’s fine…..it’s also okay to strongly imply someone is stupid, but one gets a multi day ban for asking if a poster is stupid when they have shown repeatedly an inability to use google. Makes a ton of sense. If there was consistency I wouldn’t complain.

But what is the the difference between implying someone is stupid and asking if someone is too stupid to use google when they obviously cannot use google ?
