I agree with the principle that a mod should not moderate a thread in which he/she is active in the discussion.

However there arn't enough mods in RGT to make this practical.

I suggest that whenever a mod deletes a post, he PMs a copy of the deleted post to the person who wrote it and to a supermod.

Even if he does not want to take the time to provide an explanation.

How difficult would that be?

Further you created that images thread not as an instrument of meaningful discussion but rather as a tool to ridicule religion and people who hold religious beliefs. If there is one complaint I have against Jib is that he had tried to salvage that thread rather than just delete that abortion entirely.

That has virtually nothing to do with why they modded the **** out of the images thread. It's a separate topic entirely.

I thought my answer was pretty clear - yes, of course it would. There are sometimes threads where you take out some derailment, OT posts, spam and replies to it, etc., that involves many posts at one time. In NVG, there are threads where you'll see 50+ posts deleted. It would be a massive PITA, and for very, very little gain.

And I still don't know why a supermod needs a copy.

Congratulations for coming up with an extreme example!
In that case of "50+ posts deleted" would it be a massive PITA to make a single post in the thread stating:
