Heard about a new big scandal potentially at GG, so checked out NVG to get the details.

Just a few posts into this thread I see a poster (with join date 2019) having 3 posts in a back and forth with Mason and he is now "banned".

His last post according to his post history was this:

So is this still the same old lame rule that whenever something comes up that Mason doesn't like, you just get banned either by himself directly or by some of his bootlicking NVG mod minions?

Was hoping this was changed when Max and friend took over, but I guess not.
You know, all the big ATF talk about not banning posters anymore and even reinstating others.

Ever considered that he might have posted something idiotic that got him banned that's now been deleted, as opposed to the post you mention?

...looks like my reads on this place are still spot on.

All I can say is Mason has always been a piece of **** in my eyes. From his handling of the personal David Sklansky stuff over the years, his 'feuds' with others in the poker space and his general overall vindictiveness. Sad little view on life he's living all the way through his old age.

And can't wait for any of his NVG mods to come to his defense (as seen so often in the past), just clinging on to the little bit of relevance they feel being a mod still gives them.

What I actually truly would be interested in though is how Bobo would explain this situation, him being the de-facto right hand man of the new owners (if my assumption is correct) and this being a clear violation of their stated goal?

It appears so. The mod abuse on this dying forum is out of control. Mason joined the NVG superuser thread to spam his book dozens of times while reminding people how he has experience at the ****-tier nielson rating company in the '80s. Sklansky of course backs this up because they are buddies. Other mods back this up because they enjoy their power. Joke of a forum lately, really.

Your crybaby post was very much deserving of mockery. Mason started this site, he's be friendly to me online and in person when we have played together, and I've never seen him ban anyone for disagreeing with him, despite lots of people disagreeing with him even insulting him, and he hasn't even banned people because of the insults.

I do know I reported a post for being really nasty and personal for no reason against Mason, and that post disappeared. Poster may have gotten banned too, don't know.
