If you're going to have a forum section called "politics" which totally misleads people in to believing it's anything other than a far left community moderated by someone on the far left who has clear disdain for anyone outside their ideology, shouldn't that at least be transparent? why hide his bias and disgust with half (at least) the population?

You have a far left community run by the far left posters. They mob and abuse anyone outside their ideology. The mods actively ban people who don't conform while allowing their ideological amigos endless rope to abuse others. It doesn't make any sense to label it a politics section or to mislead 2p2 members in to that area. It's silly enough, but why cover up his posts and attitude? If you are going to let this happen, shouldn't it at least be transparent?
This polarization is bad, yes. The "they started it" game is silly but also false. The tribalism and intolerance we see on 2p2 mirrors what we have seen in western culture. The left went down the road of identity politics and intolerance in society and on 2p2. Identity politics always ends up bad. When the right does it, it takes the shape of racial identity and superiority. Actual conservatives and liberals believe more in individualism. This is how you know the leftists can't even pretend to be liberal.

It’s hard to really justify any changes to the status quo. Politics is an active sub at least by 2+2 standards. I’m guessing site admins/owners would like a politics forum with more Trump apologetics and more friendly to racism but it’s not going to help traffic so it’s not really worth trying to fix from their point of view.

i feel that i should answer just because of the effort you're putting in. but i'm not going to do anything. you don't like the average poster in that forum. you don't like the moderation. you don't like the admins' decision to leave it all alone.

Yeah I'm not suggesting the forum should be changed other than the title. I'm just pointing out there isn't an actual politics section here and it would be nice if you let the far left community do their thing and opened an actual politics section. I know we've been down this road before but it's been a while and perhaps there's someone capable of moderating it
