Honestly dude, you're one of the worst posters in the forum. Outside of all of the posts similar to the above that you make, complaining about others, and other contentless posts, any sort of substantial post you make in the forum is few and far between.

You're probably one of the guys Sklansky is commenting on in his op imo

Regarding DBJ, he's a hell of a guy, and one of the best posters in the forum because of the amount of niche knowledge and wisdom he brings. You got gun questions? Personal defense/safety questions? Law enforcement questions? He's the dude to go to, and nobody could replace the quality he brings to the forum if he was permabanned.

DBJ is a true asset.

In general, I don't think it's a good idea to let a kid that young shoot a real gun that is capable of killing someone, but that's a personal choice that comes down to the individual who has the kid, and if anyone is going to get a gun for their kid around that age, DBJ is one of the ones that does it right. Dude is an expert in firearms training, and I guarantee you the chances of his kids having any accidents with a firearm are very very abysmally small.

That said, most people, generally speaking, should definitely not get guns for their young children imo. He's the exception to the rule though, because most people don't teach groups of cops gun safety.

Regarding his "trolling", his is the appropriate kind. It's more just joking around with people and taking jabs at people for sport. I do it as well, and it's quite enjoyable. It shouldn't be discouraged imo. Obviously true trolling should be discouraged though.

Hey Mat what do you think of your dad's politics threads? I see one of his threads and read them and I'm like .... wtf Sklansky. Wtf.

They're so great.

Like, everyone in the forum trolls David Sklansky, and it just rolls right off him, and he keeps the crazy coming, and it's ****ing awesome.

So which is it? Either it's a personal choice or not.

On a related note, if people make a personal choice to let their kid light himself on fire on a daily basis, who are we to tell them that's wrong? It's their kid and their decision.

It is a personal choice, and I think if most people made the choice to get their young child a gun, it's a bad choice, but I definitely do not support some government trying to legislate what is and is not appropriate for parents to buy their children.

I think everything we need to know about champ and his knowledge of this topic is encapsulated in this post:

As an aside, why is this post here instead of in the thread?

Where do you draw the line?

Serious question.

You mean when would I, an anarchist, advocate some sort of government action?

Very very rarely.

I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would get politarded.

Carry on, gents, carry on.

Equating firing a gun to lighting oneself on fire is pretty stupid.

I'd mod it with an iron fist. I've been banned many times, so I have no problem banning people I don't like, and I know what it's like to be banned, and it would be sweet to piss off my adversaries.

Nobody has a problem banning people they don't like.

A better question is, can you ban people you like when they need it?

What a ridiculous question. The people I like would never need a ban.

Don't ban Livra again pls. Yes he doesn't listen to people and has different opinions. If I had a nickel for everytime Missiledog did this I'd have at least a $10 spot in my pocket.
