All I really see of your posts is what's here in ATF, and it seems like they're always just you whining about the same thing. I've never understood it, TBH - you clearly think Politics is terribly modded, so I'd have thought you'd have moved on long ago.

Actually, when I noticed you here yesterday (or maybe it was Friday), it got me wondering if you post anywhere else. I clicked on your posts, and really did nothing more than skim through the summary of the 25 posts on the first page. All I saw was posts in ATF, and Ms. OOT threads, and was surprised (probably shouldn't have been) to see even some of that appeared to be politics-related. Anyway, maybe some of your Ms. OOT posting is quality, IDK.

There are two separate issues here. It's true that some conservative posters have been bullied and conservative opinions screamed at. raradevils is my pet example, there have been others.

Then there's the issue of people who are just bad posters, who annoy people for one reason or another. The arrogant drivel juan valdez vomited out upthread ably demonstrates why none of us are interested in having him in Politics threads.

There's big crossover between conservative posters and bad/annoying posters. In part this is because conservatism is sometimes (though far from always) associated with an inability to imagine what it's like to be other people. The main reason, though, is that you have to have a reason to want to post on a majority-liberal forum as a rabid conservative, and while there are plenty of exceptions, very frequently that reason is that you want to troll, or lecture people, or otherwise be annoying.

So while it's true that there is a problem with intolerance of conservatives and conservative opinion on 2+2, and a problem with too much tolerance of abusiveness from liberals, it doesn't follow that if you got exiled or banned from Politics that it's because you're conservative. It's because trying to discuss things with you proved to be an unpleasant experience for the rest of the forum.

I am glad you posted this because you are now admitting that I was banned because I dared to raise a red flag and say, "Hey there is something seriously wrong with the politics forum". Pointing out that something has gone too far is not trolling.

This, in a nutshell, is the argument I raise.
1. If twoplustwo harbors a hate group it should stop.
2. If a subforum on twoplus satisfies the definition of a hate group, it can be said to be a hate group.
3. The politics subforum is harbored by twoplustwo
3. The politics forum satisfies the definition of a hate group as evidenced by exhibit A, B, and C.
Conclusion: The politics subforum on twoplustwo should be shut down.

Instead of attacking the argument, I got attacked. People were called in to generate memes to trainwreck the discussion. The thread was quickly locked. The title of the thread was changed to demonize me. After being called out for changing the title of the thread, the thread was deleted.

I'm not very familiar with Juan's posting but I PM'd him because in the thread that got deleted, I referenced and linked to a thread he started.

The Politics forum will never exist the way Mason seems to want it to. That said, I hope he doesn't nuke it since it contains people I'd rather not see on forums I do visit.
