So none of them are "traditional American conservatives" as has been put and either they backed Hilliary or abstained from voting?

Maybe some of you need a wake up about the state of politics on the democatic side that has the republicans holding the fort in all the arms of government in Washington because without it, you will easily see Trump get re-elected again or if he doesn't run, the next chosen Republican candidate.

We just had one; a Democrat got elected in Alabama. Trump's approval rating is under 40. How are you feeling about the 2018 midterms, bundy?

Republicans did well outside of the presidential race didn't they? I mean Trump wasn't the reason they were elected to the house and senate, was he?

That quote from Politico is perfect. Did you see that mother****er's **** eating grin behind Trump this afternoon? He knows he is done in politics, but he doesnt give a **** anymore. He essentially legally stole billions of dollars from the American people for he and his rich friends to roll around in/build a money bin to go swimming in, and hes ****ing reveling in it right in front of the faces of the people he ripped it off from.

I asked my wife tonight, what the **** is stopping us from defrauding any person we ever meet? Its obviously not illegal in any way anymore.

Since this has mostly become a politics thread and there are a number of people in here that don't normally participate in politics, a question for you all.

What is stopping a person with little money, and no ties to any of these big businesses from running for president with a message of "I am going to represent you, the people. If congress passes a bill that is polled with overwhelmingly negative numbers, I will veto it. Full stop. I have no masters that I am beholden too, in fact, this new job title comes with a significant raise for me that I will be gloriously happy for. I will push for congress to pass bills that are overwhelmingly applauded and approved of, and I will appoint people who are not beholden to giant corporations to run our cabinet."

The position of president is the ultimate public servant. Why aren't we interested in electing someone who wants to serve the public?

Second, there’s not a lot of political philosophy debates that really happen, over the last ten years that stuff has mostly been sorted. It’s rare that there’s a new interesting take on an issue, but it does happen. See that thread about land ownership from a few years back. People have mostly figured out who they are and where they belong.

Finally, just because people are liberal generally doesn’t mean they always agree on every point about every issue. There’s plenty of disagreement, but if your main world view is “screw libruls,” you might not notice it.
What do you mean there is no political debate? Politics are one of he most debated topics in the world still.

What do you mean political philosophy has been sorted?

Good point on liberals disagreeing some with other liberals. When liberals debate each other on 2+2 do they still make a lot of personal attacks or do they actually have a real debate?

You are responding to my post where I say I learned a lot debating those who oppose my view (which I have said many times) by suggesting I have an attitude of "screw libruls"?

Fear not, Fly is just as mean to liberals he disagrees with as he is to conservatives.
12-21-2017 , 02:54 AM
Maybe not quite as mean?

Keep lecturing others about bubbles while skipping right over your buddies making arguments like "Democrats are in trouble in the midterms because Republicans did well last year"

Didn't predicit have Roy Moore as the favorite right up to Election Day? You posted this:

So predictit had it wrong with Roy Moore but has it right about the mid terms is what you are claiming. It might actually be that predictit is a better indicator for Congressional elections in the aggregate than a special election in an individual state. Do you have any data to substantiate your claim?
