Some of the questions are really poor. Do you believe your race is superior to all other races? or something like that. Obviously most people are going to disagree even if in practice they discriminate against other races.

In some cases none of the four possible responses reflected my attitude
One expert in the field suggested that we restrict the responses to simply 'agree' and 'disagree'. But how many do you need? Ten? Twenty? If you choose the one that most nearly reflects your feeling, you'll get an accurate reading…even if it niggles.
You should have a "don't know" option
This makes it too easy for people to duck difficult issues. By forcing people to take a positive or negative stance, the propositions make people really evaluate their feelings. Often people find they wanted to select 'don't know' mainly because they'd never really thought about the idea.
Your political beliefs would be considered moderately Left-Wing Libertarian on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that will reduce elitism and provide freedom and equality for citizens.

I think you underestimate to which the degree people have publicly gone to bat on 2+2 (let alone being honest with an anonymous quiz) for the idea that the reason whites/Europeans basically won history against non-whites is due to racial superiority
my bad goofy, i thought all the racists 2p2ers cried when they got called out for it. i didn't realize they were literally spouting off about white supremacy.
That's exactly the person that the politics forum needs.
Yes, an alcoholic that recorded himself pouring a beer on his head the night Trump won the election because he was so excited is exactly what the politics forum needs.
So we simply make one forum for each of them quadrants and we're golden, right?
If they did that which one would you post in most often. I only ask because I enjoy posting in politics on 2+2 because the overwhelming majority of people here oppose my views. This has given me an opportunity to debate and learn why I'm wrong or right and become more knowledgable. I often wonder why liberal posters on 2+2 even post in political threads here since they have so few opponents to debate.
That is because "American conservatism" is a jumbled, incoherent mess right now. Trump campaigned very heavily on populism and then allowed his Administration to be taken over by Heritage Foundation types. So you have the Heritage Foundation types who are appalled by Trump and many things he has done but are thrilled about the policies they are using him to get through. Then you have the "populist types" that just love Trump's behavior that pisses people off and don't really care/are ignorant about his actual policy.
Oh really - how come the republicans hold so much power in Washington?
First, it’s a great way to stay informed. I could read a hundred news sites by myself or group-source that **** and let the important stories bubble up.
Second, there’s not a lot of political philosophy debates that really happen, over the last ten years that stuff has mostly been sorted. It’s rare that there’s a new interesting take on an issue, but it does happen. See that thread about land ownership from a few years back. People have mostly figured out who they are and where they belong.
Finally, just because people are liberal generally doesn’t mean they always agree on every point about every issue. There’s plenty of disagreement, but if your main world view is “screw libruls,” you might not notice it.
