I got a PM few days ago from someone telling me the btc they had for sale had been sold already in such a way as to indicate I had contacted him asking to trade.

I sent him a response asking if someone posing as me had contacted him looking to trade as I wanted to make sure no one is attempting to scam anyone using my name.

all of a sudden both his PM to me and my response are gone.

very confused what is going on.

Should not be related to the upgrade unless both the pm and response were went during a 10 minute window late yesterday morning.

My guess is the person who PM'd you PM'd a bunch of people and someone reported him and he got OTB&C'd which would have deleted all of his PMs
