Don't know if this has been mentioned but r word has many legitimate uses such as R growth in (a society, bacerial infection, ect.)

Google dict:
delay or hold back in terms of progress, development, or accomplishment.

That argument is useless because it applies to 90% of words. R word has a unique meaning and tone that is best for purpose in many situations.

LOL, what does that have to do with anything? So that means that 90% of words, if they had an offensive meaning that ownership felt warranted censoring, would also have valid substitutes. What of it?
