New to this forum and I am completely lost.

I am having many difficulties navigating this forum. I click on the top bar that says my 2+2, and click "edit options" because I want to change my email and password.
Every time I do this it says I do not have permission to do so, even though im trying to edit my own account.
Would anybody be able to help me with this issue?
