Seems not to be working again, at least for Stars.uk

Just put in a tourney hand and it came up with an error message "Hand conversion failed"

There are a number of sites that are not working currently. I am not sure if that site is already documented or it is a new issue related to their recent updates this summer/fall. If you can send a few hands to our testers they can check to make sure. For now you should use the HM2 (or PT4) hand history viewer options to copy forum format to your windows clipboard so it can be pasted into a forum post as mentioned above.

If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to using the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/support/product/1

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any hand history files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is too big to attach to an email please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, googledrive or filedropper and send us the download link.

Hey fozzy, thanks, wasn't actually for me directly, someone else was having difficulty posting a hand and asked me about it and I just picked a random hand from my own recent history to confirm whether it was them or the software. I'll let them know about your reply. Thanks.

This was a network issue so thank you for making us aware. The converter should be back online. if you, or anyone, has any issues please submit a support ticket with some hand samples a description of the problem.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I have duplicated the problem with those 2 sites (I haven't tested other sites yet) and will forward the report to our QA/Testing Manager. For now you will want to use HM2 or PT4's Hand History Viewers to convert the hands to forum format.

The 2+2 Hand History Converter is unable to display hands copied from PT4.

I've had no problem posting hands in the past with PT3 when I played on Cake/Juicy Stakes Poker. But now, it seems like either PT4 or America's Cardroom is stopping the 2+2 Hand Converter from importing the hands.

Attempted 2+2 friendly format. Didn't work
Attempted raw format. Didn't work
Copied and pasted the exact wording out of the hand history notepad file. Still didn't work.

Suggestions?

I replied to your duplicate post/thread in the BQ forum last night from my personal account:

There is a known bug with the converter and Winning Poker Network hands that the HM2 developers are aware of.

Please see the post above yours. This issue is affecting WPN and Stars hands so I added a comment to the internal ticket about you having issues with FTP hands also for our testers/developers to look into.

Thanks for letting us know you got it working. Our QA/Testing Manager tried some FTP hands after you mentioned this and had no issues as well so I will update the ticket to reflect that.

Thank you for letting us know. I will forward this to our QA/Testing Manager. The HM2 Hand Viewer export to forum format is also bugged in our latest release so I assume these two issues are related.

For now you will have to use the right-click > copy or right-click > view > export > original format options within HM2 (PT4 has similar options) and then use a 3rd party/site converter.

Let me know what to do!

Everytime i try to run a hand trough Hand converter, i get this message:

"Hand Conversion Failed

The hand history pasted contained formatting, spaces or special characters that are non-standard or was for a site or game type that is not supported.

If you use Hold'em Manager, you can select the CASH GAMES or TOURNEY tab and then right click on the specific hand and select "Copy Selected Hands To Clipboard" and then paste."

I'm still playing on same site (FT/PS) that I was playing last time I was posting hands (and that was maybe a year ago), so I don't know what to do here.
Are there maybe some changes that I'm not aware of ?
please help
thx

nah, still getting the same message
interestingly, I just tried it with a PS hand, which is exactly the same in its structure except it says in the beginning "PokerStars Hand #xxx..." instead of "Full Tilt Hand #xxx...",
and it works.

is it ok if I just manually change that part of HH and post it then ?

Can you send us a few hands for our QA/Testing Manager to look at and discuss with our devs to see if this is on the HM side or 2+2 side of the converter?

The converter only converts hands from their original format to the 2p2 format. You already converted it using weaktight so it can't convert a converted hand. Right-click the hand in HM2 > Copy to clipboard, then paste that into the converter is what you would want to do but I see a couple open issues in our internal tracking system that are still open that might cause you problems if they aren't yet resolved fully.

If you have problems converting hands using the original format with the 2+2 converter you will need to use weaktight or use the hand history viewer export option and choose the 2+2 format from there before pasting the converted hand into a thread/post.
