Nobody has ever made a credible case that it is. A handful of people loudly saying something over and over again doesn't make it true.

Short of advocating for genocide or using racial slurs, people dont get exiled/banned for freely and fairly discussing their opinions. As pointed out already, they get exiled/banned for arguing dishonestly and displaying immunity to facts and logic, resulting in gigantic trainwrecks of trolling and whining

I, for one, am certain that providing a new forum for terrible right wing posters will finally give them the chance to express their ideas with intelligence, forthrightness, and absolutely no racist overtones.

This is factually incorrect. PU started as a containment forum for an awful poster and grew into a containment forum for posters too awful for alpha. Only it's last illformed iteration was it starting to get away from it's roots and try and become it's an actual politics forum. Don't make it sound more noble than it was. 5 more posters get permed along the way and this conversation never happens.

The problem that needed fixing was a bunch of neo nazis and white nationalists taking over unchained(7.0) and chez being such a garbage moderator and sympathizer that it literally needed to be completely shut down, which is why we're having this discussion about resurrecting it under well named's supervision

None of this has anything to do with what i or zik or bundy said about the main forum. What this all boils down to is that racists want a safe space, and you are for whatever reason giving them the benefit of the doubt in taking their ludicrous complaints about the adult forum at face value despite numerous regular posters already pointing out the absurdity of their claims
