Why would i read a goofyballer article when i explicitly stated trump has set the world record for lying and goofyballer is infamous for spamming boring or fake news links? I inserted a common issue with these reports in the form of "i'm guessing". the issue was so common that the article itself had to clarify it didnt make the mistake. tilted donkey cordially pointed out that they addressed the issue but for some reason you felt the need to chime in like a snarky douche

You just need what they said, and the truth.

Pretending like Trump is not constantly lying every day, many times a day, only shows poorly on you and your critical thinking skills and ability to parse information.

An announcement of sorts: I've decided not to move forward with a new forum. The simple reason for that decision is purely selfish. The more I ponder it the less it seems like a good idea to me. The poll results make it look plausible, but this thread itself makes me think it's just going to be a huge pain in the ass with little real upside. I am still intrigued by the idea in theory, but the reality seems pretty far removed from the ideal in my mind, and I can't muster up enough of a belief that it's really going to be worth it, at least not for me.

I realize that any number of people may view this entire recent set of events as a bizarrely entitled and narcissistic endeavour on my part, to which I can only sheepishly plead guilty. But I was offered the opportunity to do whatever I wanted, and so I have, both in thinking about it, making this thread and poll, and now in deciding not to do it. I appreciate the trust and confidence that Mat placed in me in allowing me to do this, which I didn't really earn and which I have probably already demonstrated was misplaced. In any case, I'm sorry if I wasted his time or yours. I appreciate all the time people spent offering their feedback.

I'm not going to open this thread again but feel free to tell me off as you wish via PM or anywhere else :P
