The Insticator thing, or the .world redirection?

Sounds like some lame phishing attempts.

Run a virus scan and Spybot scan on your computer. You may have some spyware that's causing this.

Yeah, that was why I was asking about which issue it was. The fact that 36 hours later no one has reported similar problems makes me wonder if it could be on jman's end.

It’s been happening to me too. An ATT&T spin the wheel promotion takes over my page. I have to leave the page and comeback sometimes it works, other times I just stop trying to use this site. New iPad , safari. My service is through att

An ipad is sandboxed, can you even get a virus? Do they even have virus scanners for it?

Not exactly a virus but definitely malware that could result in those ads popping up.

It requires you to install apps outside of the app store that happen to have malware on them.

Fyi, I’ve been experiencing the same thing as Jman. I browse using safari on my iPhone.

Definitely have that on. Two many places have hijack pop up outs out there. Also recommend adding ******* plus.

jman, I had the same on iPad Pro. Kept getting "Dear XCableCompany customer" pop ups to .world websites. I went to the app store and spent two bucks on "AdBlocck" (no second c, just had to avoid the 2p2 filter). There are a lot of similarly named products, so if you want to do this, you're looking for something with an orange logo of an iPhone. I went to Manage Safari Rules and turned on the filter lists with EasyLists, Easy Privacy, Adware Filters, ******* Warning Removal List, Fanboy's Enhanced Tracking List, and Peter Lowe's List. This solved the problem. Note that the default setting was only EasyList, and that did not work. It only worked when I turned on the bunch of others that I mentioned.

The site owners don't want ad blockers mentioned, seeing as ads are a large revenue source for the site, so the names of many of them have been filtered out.

I guess Mason doesn't want people promoting AdXXBlock on the site. Understandable, but he will get zero traffic from iPhone and iPad users that don't have something that blocks this. It ruins the site experience totally. Every three minutes on the site I would get redirected to some scam bs.

Got it. Bobo or Chuck or someone should look into this (if it is not already a known issue).

Unfortunately it didn’t work. Nor did anything else linked in this thread thus far. (At least as of the post i am responding to).

I am not seeing it on my iPad or iPhone, but we reached out to the advertising partners when this was first posted. Hoping for an update soon.

As of this minute one of our advertising partners has made a change. If any of you are still seeing the problem a few hours from now, please let me know. Again, if it happens, device, browser, screen shot useful.
