We are happy to finally present a new mobile-friendly theme for 2+2.

To apply a new theme please go to User Control Panel > Edit Options > Forum Skin > New Mobile Friendly 2+2 and click Save Changes. Here's a short video of how I'm trying to achieve this - LINK

If you notice some bugs, please write a post about it here - it will help us immensely.

After we've reviewed all the feedback and eliminated all the bugs we are planning to make the new theme to be the default for everyone. You'll be able to switch back of course.

And please do tell us about your thoughts. I know it's one thing to see it as a static design in our previous announcement, but completely different once you can actually use it and click on things.

I've been on a new theme for a while now and after a period of adjustment, I must say I like it a lot more

I despise, with all of my being, the fact that I can no longer move from one forum to another with a single click in the sidebar. I appreciate that the forum drop-down at the bottom still remains, but the sidebar is my main mode of navigation from forum to forum.

Edit to add: And then I realize the "hamburger menu" at the top left brings back the sidebar. Nice.

seems like the images aren't loading correctly. all i saw was text and it was very confusing. moreso than what one can expect when trying out a new theme.

Where are you finding that? I've just tried the Alex Torelli thread in NVG, and pics loaded for me both on my desktop and my phone.

I think I noticed an announcement about the new software before I switched themes; now I'm not seeing it. IOW, announcements may not be displaying in this theme.

Also, a minor issue - sidebar heading for Other Topics is showing as Sports & Games. In other words, there are two consecutive Sports & Games categories

What internet browser were u using?

Looks nice, cleaner and better organized. One thing I immediately notice (personal opinion) is the fonts: a it too similar, too little contrast, etc. I would differentiate a bit more for a crisper look. Take side -bar menu for ex, I would either design white on black or something similar, the eye finds it easier. IMO, obv.

Will keep browsing in this new look for bugs and getting to knowing it accurately.

One addition I would like is being able to reach the "hamburger" menu from anywhere on the page. Currently you need an "up" button both on PC and Mobile. Would be cool to simply not waste time scrolling up to browse through different forums and reach the side-bar menu.

I might have the dumz. Where are we seeing how to download it?

Just as in your OP, I'd like to see links highlighted much better.
Also would be cool to just copy/paste images/screenshots in this day and age directly in the reply/message.

Found UCP by using messages link, but it won't allows changes for any section unless its miscellaneous options

also, I might have missed this but I think the option to change text color in a post is gone.

Yes, it's gone.

It's not a priority at the moment. Priority is a new platform development.

That's a standard feature and it will be present on a new platform that we gonna develop from scratch. It's not worth the time and effort trying to change the code of the current VBulletin platform. VBulletin is the past future will come in 6 to 12 months.

If we change the settings from a phone, does the change carry over to our desktop, or anywhere else we log in?

I'm actually getting used to it, but it is overly grey and gloomy. everyone would want diff colors, so unless you had list of color themes to choose from in your personal settings then not worth the development effort.

It would be nice to make hyperlinks another color.

button for oldest unread thread should be most prominent, that should be the one you'd tap accidentally if you just blindly did it, it's a very small icon and very hard to get that without careful discretion and even zooming in

honestly, just have a single link go to last unread one would be ideal, that's going to be majority of use case

if you guys are going genuinely dive deeply into this i'm happy to help contribute and talk to you guys about - ux consulting is literally what i do for a living

it's much harder to organically discover any content with this design - something that is critical and what should be an area of priority for you guys imo

Can no longer jump to the top of current page by tapping the top of the screen - using safari on an iPad.

You have the space for this?

Like this, not into the latest ux development (that will come later, in Analysis class now), but he is right.

Looks good, just started using it on my iPhone. Will play around with it this week.
