FWIW, this is evidence that there probably shouldn't be Wi-Fi on Italian trains. Good thing they haven't started serving wine yet, or ATF would be an even bigger mess right now.

Feel like if I had wine on a train I would eventually wind up spilling it all over me. Unless they served it in a tumbler or something.

Of course! But starting silly threads on the train had more to do with the extra time on my hands than anything else. And I don't do a lot of posting from my phone.

LOL, I sure as hell don't do it like that. Pretty sure they've bumped theirs up to $12 like Telus, but at either price, that's ****ing insane. The "cap" is $150 with Telus, and $180 with Rogers. Canadians get hosed like no one else in the world that I know of. Got a Three SIM card when I got to the UK, and get 5 GB and unlimited calls and texts for 20 GBP/30 days (not calendar month). Canadian cell companies can **** off when it comes to my travel needs. Ridiculous.

True enough. This 100%. Our cell costs are ridiculous. I usually do the add on only when I do a few days in the States and, like you, local services otherwise. It's $7 a day down there so it's doable for a short trip. Roam is $4.95 and also offers monthly plans.

I was just having a bit of fun that you said you needed Wifi to post. Understandably, preserving data can be an issue when travelling.
