it's not really random. if i really cared about the politics forum, that particular user would be banned. why the current moderators of that forum don't agree is a mystery to me, but i care more about their autonomy than my personal opinion.

Given a choice between someone who breaks the rules calling out people with awful views and someone who breaks the rules espousing awful views I'd rather have the former than the latter.
