How do I ignore someone? - Page 11 - About the Forums

For Chrome/Firefox

1) Copy/paste the file into a text editor
2) Modify as needed
3) Save the file with ".user.js" (without quotes), for example: 2p2ignore.user.js
4) Drag the file from where you saved it to your Chrome extension page
5) If done correctly, a bubble will pop up "Drop to Install"
6) Drop
7) Enjoy

I had to take users OFF of my ignore list on 2p2 for it to work.

In Firefox I did the same steps using the Greasemonkey addon.

Bastard Chrome disables the extension for me, any way around that?

Install Tampermonkey and then you can paste the code directly into that.

the noise to signal ratio in NVG has gotten pretty high lately. i was wondering if there's a way to adjust or program a feature that would allow me to ignore a user with 1 click. having to go to a profile, user lists, seperate page to ignore, then back is a bit cumbersome when going through a large thread with a dozen 10-post trolls.

I think that guy (Neil S?) who does all the greasemonkey scripts made one that added an ignore option to the username dropdown.

I have a copy of a 2+2 full ignore script.
This works with tampermonkey on chrome and greasemonkey on firefox.
I don't know where the source is hosted. I added it to github.

And that's not a super-intuitive process, so if you don't know, go into My 2+2 drop-down on the top left, choose Edit Your Details, find Edit Ignore List down to the left, start typing in the user's screen name and it should appear as a drop-down option, then waggle your finger.

Remember when you had to click on the *******'s username on-screen and then select ignore user from the dropdown menu? Took like one whole second. Such hassle. This new way is MUCH easier and far more intuitive lol.
