My position is that moderators shouldn't ban people for posting that is done outside the forums they moderate, even if they find the poster annoying. AFAIK, goofyballer doesn't moderate ATF.

I think the original position is probably going to remain, but only out of stubbornness for the rules.

Given that this is a poker site, and given what I promised, I think not banning bundy5 after AlwaysFolding took me up on a deal I offered would be no different from turning and running after losing a prop bet. My reputation should, rightfully, be slandered if I did not follow through.

As such, the problematic behavior isn't the actual banning, but rather the fact that I made such a post in the first place. And yet, I was the third moderator in this thread to engage in such behavior!

If someone had sent jman $25, or $20 with madlex's $5, he would be similarly be a thief if he did not follow through and ban bundy. Yet somehow, I'm the villain here? Hell, unlike jman my offer was entirely benevolent and the proceeds would only go to a third party! (with a net side benefit for 2+2, of course, of bundy being gone forever)
