Someone posted a link to the legacy (non-Tapatalk) 2p2 app a while back. It was on a website (no longer available on Google Play), and required that your phone be rooted to install it.

Tapatalk is of course garbage but the 2p2 admins have been quite clear over the last few years that they don't intend to switch back to the legacy app and that Tapatalk is here to stay. It was pleasantly surprising to see that they planned to fix this current issue on the legacy app, given previous statements about no longer supporting it.

i assume this is part of the switch to ssl, you guys are rehosting all images posted?

when, for instance, i quote a post with an image, i see the normal flickr image url, but if i'm in a thread and right click to copy image location it's like a whole new thing. what's that all about?

illustrative example:

Currently yes

Not rehosting, but caching the image and serving it up as https or something fancy like that.

I'm still seeing this which gives a mixed mode SSL error on every page with an editor box.

Strangely the link above will redirect to https if clicked on, but presumably a http is hard-coded somewhere where the tweet button is added. Something weird going on with it, the rest of the editor items are fine.

Same. I don't know what people's aversion is to that.

We are working through these issues one at a time. For now, please make sure you are on a page that does not give the "mixed mode" and that says "Secure" (or equivalent for your browser) when logging in to the forums.

Though even better would be to make it open source so someone could fix the little things like not being able to see the change comments.

ssl cert checks out as A- (very good) on ssllabs.com, so great job.

I am getting the following mix content errors in my browser, which cause the ssl to show as insecure, 'Mixed Content: This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.' All of the links seem to have https versions so I think it will display correctly if you change them in the site code.

No promises that the legacy version will continue to work. I am looking for a permanent solution but there is no guarantee that one exists.

If it's a monetary issue I'm willing to donate to the cause and I hope/some others would also.

For mods, if they go to a user's profile and then click "Edit User Profile" to get to the modcp user page, that no longer works. It brings up a blank page in ModCP.
