Why when I put in a second hard return for a paragraph do I always get an extra line break in the post? Like this -

That was only two hard returns but it shows three. If I preview the post and fix it then it is fine. I can also fix it after it is posted.

I use Firefox on Windows 10.

I think that would have to be a "you issue", and I don't know why it happens.

This is two hard returns for me.

For me the cursor sometimes doesn't jump down immediately when pressing "Return", but does so when I start writing. Have reluctantly adapted, just starting writing after Return, and voilá. Using Edge. Think this issue has been around maybe half a year. This is especially relevant in my weight log in H&F, sometimes lots and lots of Returns, not interested in going back and delete the potential redundant Extra Lines, which happen if I press Return again after the first "fail"

I mainly use Edge for being able to stop the moving avatars and some ads by pressing Esc.

Helps concentrating.

When I click into a 2+2 text input box, a cursor appears, and voilá, when I type on my keyboard, the corresponding letters appear in the text box. And when I'm pressing "Return", it inserts a new line. This is especially relevant to my posting on 2+2, which would be otherwise impossible.
