You don't get to decide for us what we do or don't find interesting. I found a ton of his BFI stuff super interesting. I'd like to continue those discussions.

He can be banned from politics if it's too much of an issue. But his contributions elsewhere were great. We're way worse for not having him around.

The mistake was taking so long to ban him.

Unbanning a self-confessed troll is pretty desperate.

He got banned some time after making that post. Then he registered another account and posted in the same thread. It included a screenshot of the reason for his ban, which was something like "perpetual trolling", which he said was accurate. That post has now been deleted.

That's the image. The post was in the same thread as TS's last post, immediately after it, and was mostly an on-topic continuation of it.

Trolling for some of you is just an intolerance to a difference of opinion which is no reason for someone to get banned.

I think the true meaning of it got lost with him with your frequent and may I say misuse of the word.

If he was adding something to the discussion whether you agree with him or not, he was not trolling. It is as simple as that.

Oh so the same feeling that the lefties on your forum get when they gang up on dissidents who they can't tolerate and want banned and not to forget the feeling you probably get when you ban them, or play around with them before they get banned (asking ridiculous questions, requesting links that anyone can plainly see are legitimate and well publicized arguments, etc.). It's pretty simple. I was conceding that his other claims about me "dickbag, troll, something else" are at least arguable from some perspective. I wasn't saying they're true. I believe what I post, most of my positions and comments were not controversial 15 years ago. That they create ban hysteria in people today says more about people's bigotry (intolerance of different opinions) than it says about me. A generation of race and sexual identity politics has changed society a lot, and not for the better.

I refuse to concede that I'm bigoted. I have more tolerance and ability to see different views certainly than you, Wookie, and most of my detractors. It is not a racist claim in any way to say that modern views of what constitute racism are insane. That some people would disagree with that indicates they are in a circular religion, immune from criticism or change. Don't agree that it's all white people's fault? You must have racism in your heart! The instinct is identical to what created heresy laws, the burning of witches, the mass torturing and murder of millions of business owners and independent thinkers in China as "bourgeois rightists". It's a circular form of reasoning, almost religious and always increasingly strident, in which anyone who disagrees with the tenets of the religion must be racist/evil/in league with the devil/sexist/wanting to exploit the workers.

Such views just aren't healthy - for anyone. In fact it's an enormous social sickness.
