Mr_Wonderful, yes its because you are trying incomplete hands, convert the whole hand first then cut out what you want from the output.

DMoogle, you and your opponent don't have stack sizes in that hand history header, that's why it isn't working.

All: You'll notice UB and AP hands no longer convert, 2+2 admins as well as DeucesCracked have decided not to support these sites due to the continued cheating scandals etc.

Yeah I figured it out a while after I posted it. Apparantly FTP doesn't record the stack sizes for the first hand of the session. I never realized that until now.

Good decision!

The hand converter no longer works for Ongame LHE - I guess Ongame changed their formats slightly? I think it hasn't worked for a while. If the developer (Deathdonkey?) wants a bunch of my badly played micro LHE hands so he can fix it I am happy to email them to him! PM me your email and how many hands you want if you do want to try and fix it.

The error you get is 'no valid hand data detected' BTW.

It is very easy to miss that certain players posted preflop instead of limping. It would be helpful if their actions looked different.

So this:

Or colored, or whatever...

thac: maybe, not really a high priority because I just haven't seen much interest, and it will require adding an option to the output which I am highly against - you might notice there are very very few output options, I pretty much think some of the other converters out there decided to let people have every option under the sun but 99% of the time people choose the same basic output options and all those other ones just cause clutter and confusion.

Aaron: not a bad idea, I'll add it to my "random features" pile and hopefully toss it in there when I have some bug to catch.

the deucescracked converter doesnt convert hands from prima network?

Chris,

With the posters thing, I'd just add it as a note before the PreFlop section. Also, preflop deserves a pot size just like every other street.

Note: MP posts a big blind ($0.50).

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BB with 2 8
1 fold, MP checks, 2 folds, SB calls, Hero checks

Flop: (3 SB) 6 9 A (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP checks

Turn: (1.5 BB) 6 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP folds, SB folds

This would also help people count the antes in tourney hands.

Note: Antes total t250

Haha thanks Bison, I'm putting in some updates this week (one already up on our server but I need to get 2p2 a new UI - www.thehandconverter.com and choose 2p2 output for a preview).

Bumped again to say I added these tonight, thanks bisonbison!

What does anyone think about showing the preflop pot size in BB's vs SB's for limit, and the same for the size of the extra big blind posted?

Don't know why you'd do that. I don't even play limit though...

I'd like an option for having the results don't come out in a spoiler and the suits as instead of sdch
08-20-2008 , 02:55 PM
DMoogle,

Look at the pot size for the limit hand on the flop, turn, and river - I thought it made more sense to be consistent, obviously for NL its always in dollars (or sterling pounds I hope...). The non spoiler option coming (already up on thehandconverter.com), I am sort of against the suits in results but willing to hear more opinions there.

-DeathDonkey

Why against the suits in results? It would only be in the non-spoiler results.
08-20-2008 , 07:10 PM
Chris, I think you should go with SB preflop for limit cause that's the betting increment and then the streets go SB SB BB BB not BB SB BB BB

Also, I like your policy on minimal output options.

atozitsme bets, Hero calls, greenberet87 folds

River: (11.25 BB) 6 (2 players)

atozitsme shows 2 8 (high card Queen)

I think I got all the suggestions in now, thanks guys.

For the converter code for 2+2, can we get a warning if someone tries to convert a limit hand in a no limit forum and visa versa. Detect game type and then run it by a list of forumids and say "It looks like you're posting a NO LIMIT hand in a LIMIT forum. PROCEED?"

Maybe just in new posts, not replies?
08-22-2008 , 04:27 PM
I can not figure how to make a spoiler. Help?
08-22-2008 , 04:51 PM
When posting a hand, choose to include the results.

In general, the tag is [.spoil]Insert spoiler here![./spoil] without the . at the beginning of the brackets.
08-22-2008 , 08:32 PM
Bison, that's a really neat idea. Unfortunately I can't code in Javascript or html for crap, but I'll run it by one of my guys.

Major update today on the 2+2 UI: the output now supports 3 results formats:

-completely hide results
-show results in plain text (with suit images)
- show results in spoiler

One new option for "show chat" which will show any mid-hand player chat (good for NVG railbird hands imo).
