I'm watching this thread. No strong opinion has been formed yet. Certainly light years away from making any actual decision.

I know some people hate that I operate that way. But some users, who have benefited from such a slow and indecisive process, actually appreciate the process. And yes, I acknowledge that I have made some rash decisions, but I regret most of those and tried to make amends where possible.

Anyway, there was once a user named Lirva. He eventually banned himself, but he was quite the disruptive force. He was permabanned at least once. Not sure why it was overturned. I think it was largely because he had some private correspondence with Mason and I and we liked him. But the first permanent was for the following reason:

LOL at the concept of permanent bans, of course. I don't personally like them very much. An attitude that has a few people (people i respect very much) not too happy with me.

Well that Lirva person you mention probably shouldn't have been allowed back imo, but they weren't a mod, correct? The issue with Zeno and augie_ is that they are mods and are in effect public representatives of the twoplustwo brand.

I know you didn't post that for me, but that's a pretty great song! I never got too into Billy Joel, but I know he's written a ton of songs that are widely acclaimed. The driving rock song with main instrumentation being the piano is kind of an uncommon thing these days, which is a shame because it's a great sound imo.

For starters, people who have been an integral part of this site for longer than a decade aren't people i haphazardly discard.

And second, this little internet island is pretty much sinking into the ocean. Killing off the original crew ain't gonna save it.

As far as actually making decisions, I actually like Zeno's style, outside of the blatantly disgusting racism, of course. Other than that, well named's take is by far the best one imo.

If i could clone well named, he would take over every mod position on this site. And mine, if i could get a severance from Mason.
