One Report would have been good enough.

Over 100 posts without one has to be a new record.

Especially when people who want one start threads about the subject where the entire content of their first post is:

Are there specific problems not being addressed, do you think an active mod would help with tone, or are you hoping for a mod who is an active poster as well? Do you have any suggestions for mods? Have you posted in BFI about this to see if others feel the same way? Perhaps a poster or two would express interest in modding if you did. And this of course all depends on whether your implication that there are no active BFI mods is correct (I'm not saying it isn't, or is).

Not trying to barrage you with questions - they're intended to help move this discussion along, not that I'm asking you to answer them all.

You are good at what you do. Yes there is an issue. The current mods are ignorant to crypto economics (and not active otherwise as observed by the "record" spam posts) and that subject is super relevant and important the future of poker and the security that goes along with the new technology. Tomcollins is decently knowledgeable I would settle for Awice. Can't think of any other atm.

Seems sklansky agrees. I'll tell you. If you get a decently informed mod there you might save RIO poker. Although ive been in private dialogue with Tony G and he's considering absorbing it....

It is assumed by most to be a self-regulating forum. If there is a problem because of spammers and trolls or if posts are abusive of others, then please use the Report button.

If there are genuine posts made by users who are simply ignorant of the subject topics, in your opinion, then it is not really the function of a mod to delete and censor; if that is what you are implying. Anyone knowledgeable can take a lead role in steering discussion and trying to educate. Think of a cork covered in washing-up liquid bobbing in the waves of a silt-ridden seashore.

Omg, Do you have secret forums that the public isn't privy to?

A bitcoiner NEVER wants censorship and power

Not anyone. Only those that the propriety of the forum gives the rights of being "human".

In the near future you will say "****....****....************"......

I would be willing to help mod BFI if there is a need for another, I think the forum is pretty good as is so I wouldn't plan to do much of anything other than ban spammers when they show up, although I think most of those incidents are already handled in a reasonable time-frame as well.

Also I'm bearish on bitcoin and would not be looking to police or babysit any threads in case that disqualifies me.

Needs to be a mod that is knowledgeable about crypto. U have a thread dedicated to bitcoin and one for altcoins and the bitcoin thread is filling up with talk about tether because there is no mod that knows tether is an altcoin and therefore off topic

This is your complaint? It's a perfectly legitimate discussion.

That is the first seven letter word ever with those letters. Pretty impressive I'd say.

You didn't fix the problem. Heres an example:

Everyone in bitcoin land knows when you use the word "blockchain" like this spammer then you are ignorant.

Maybe you could just hit "report" on the spam? Not everyone is on 2+2 24/7 looking for ignorant spammers. In particular, I happen to know that BGP lives in Asia, so his schedule is likely not the same as yours.
