Can I be unbanned already? Can I be unbanned already?

My username was PokerPlayer66. I was banned for posting in BBV a couple of months back. I'm still not exactly sure what rule I broke but a perma-ban seemed crazy at the time given I hadn't even had a temp-ban before.

Any chance someone can reinstate my account?

I don't know as I'm not a mod, but I do know this isn't the way to go about it.

Why should anyone think you will be less terrible second time around ?

SGT RJ banned you, presumably for creating awful NVG threads, not one of the BBV mods.

I never posted in NVG? IIRC only forums I posted in were BQ, BBV, Micro Stakes Strat, and a few posts in Internet Poker after I'd had a particularly bad week at the tables and was blowing off steam.

You might read this thread.

OP started 33 threads in December alone. That alone is pretty ban worthy.

Why do you even want such a non-descript name back anyway?

Usually when a member asks for a ban to be lifted, they express regret for their actions and an understanding of the reason for the ban in a PM to the mod or a "contact us" email to the admin.

You expressed no regret or understanding of the reason for the ban and you didn't bother to read and follow a post stuck near the top of the forum labeled What to do if you've been banned ***DON'T post about it in this forum thereby showing everyone a lack of willingness to learn and abide by forum policies, so no, your account ban should not be lifted.

Was a new player who didn't have a clue, so needed to create a lot of threads to fill some pretty serious knowledge gaps.

Well I'm not all that bothered. I'll carry on using this name if that's within forum rules?

The only reason given was 'for been absolutely terrible', with no reference to the so-called 'terrible' post.

At any rate surely the normal procedure, if I was indeed making 'terrible' posts, would be a temp ban or an infraction first?

Its 2014. Just go with PokerPlayer87.

If that was the criterion, I should look out.

I was temp banned, and I was heavily infracted, with billions of points, whereof several thousands will haunt me into the next century. Your pain was intense, but short, OP.

OP, feel free to mock his pain. He's accepting.

It would appear that OP has been banned and thread locked, since this isn't the way to go about having a ban lifted, and gives the appearance of circumventing the ban.

However, to answer some questions - OP, it appears you were banned for some terrible posting in BBV.

Yes, that's fine. Of course, this account's been banned now, so I expect you'll be creating a new one. Don't fill BBV with crap and don't go around announcing your new account is the same person, and you should be fine.
