Please make a bigger separation between posts. The thin black line just does not cut it.

I am generally pretty agnostic to visual style, and just want to be able to easily read the content. I have literally never customized any forum or online display, just using whatever the default is. I don't love the all-white look, but whatevs. Not being able to find the beginning and end of posts though, is a serious readability issue.

I just have to say that every time I'm part of "forum migration" to new software there's always a very tilting issue for me: the lack of distinctive borders between things like thread titles and user posts, and even between the main page space and things like side indexes and adspace, etc.

Any chance we can add/darken/thicken those kinds of separators a bit on the Vanilla version? Cause I hate it. I hate it so much.

I'm glad you put that LA Rams version in spoilers, I had it open for a less than a second and my eyeballs nearly exploded. The version you created up higher that is close to what 2+2 looks like now is very nice, I wonder if you could make the section with username/user info more distinctive from the post itself?

+1 to make vanilla forums look like current 2p2 but you guys do realize that all he did was crop posts from vanilla and layer them onto a screenshot of the current 2p2 as a concept right?

Looks a bit better than it did when I first looked but still a bit whitey.

I'm a fan of making it look more like current 2P2. By which I mean you have the dark bar at the top which extends down the sides and even appears to be "behind" all the adspace and the main forum space itself. And then the left index on the side is contained in its own box with it's own borders, and separate from that you can see a sliver of separation (the black space "behind" everything) in between the main forum space and the left index space.

It doesn't have to match exactly but I'm def an advocate for contrasting tones being used in such a way so as to create not necessarily just touching borders but strong, distinct visual separation between all of the various sections. Borders are good, but if it all just kind of looks the same at a glance it's still going to be a 'meh' for me.
