i never thought I'd say this before, but I suddenly appreciate the 2p2 UI for the first time seeing the alternative

Could someone please post a link to the really old 2+2 forum site that has posts from the greats like Tom Dwan when they were learning?

Are the old 2+2 threads gone forever? I've never been able to find anything here or on the archive sites that Google leads to.

Since you guys own that content it would be cool if you posted it on the new forum as a classic 2+2 archives section. Or even as an e-book.

Dude it looks like you guys just grabbed a random template starter pack off github and you just rammed your database in it without any vaseline. WITHOUT ANY VASELINE!!

I hope this goes smoothly & wish the best of luck to devs/ownership. Another forum I used to be incredibly active on did a similar transition to Vanilla that was...not easy.

Good thing this isn't 10 years ago, when I spent huge amounts of time on here. We'll be fine, I guess.

We had no real choice about making this change. We'll certainly do what we can to make changes within the new software to accommodate everyone the best we can.

first they came for the legacy mobile app

I think 2+2 has the best looking forums on the internet today so this is really bad news.

I get that it may be necessary though, but the new version in that link looks beyond terrible.

Hopefully it is possible to customize it to look better though - a skin looking like 'Slick' and making it stretch to the full width of the window would improve it significantly.
