When you change your avatar, does it stay the same old avatar on all the pages until someone looks at that page again? I'm thinking about posters with tens of thousands of posts--the new avatar can't go forth and populate all those posts at once, right? I imagine that the page asks for instructions on how it should look when it's opened, then it gets the news about the new avatar.

The page doesn't exist except when someone's looking at it. Everything in vBulletin is dynamic. There is no page sitting on a hard drive somewhere that needs updating.

In other words, the tree falling in the forest with no one there to hear it doesn't make a sound.

I'm noticing a lot of blue-box '?' in poster's avatars. I know that I refused Photobucket's $399/yr to allow me to third-party host but I didn't know that either 1. so many hosted their avatars on Photobucket or 2. that other hosting sites might be doing the same.

look, it's time for me to go. most of the things i have to fix are not related to the internet.
I have changed a lot over the years. I don't care for a number of things I used to like including gambling. I tried to post a lot of complicated truths but those were mostly misinterpreted by trolls like abstinence and el diablo as trolling i guess and also by some idealistic friends in any case it should be known i genuinely dont care about anything posted on here. If you really want to find me it's not that hard; I've been incredibly honest about who I am more than trolls could ever know. jmitch and ilovedonks i have trouble doing a lot of things and wish you the best in your unique cases you can have my number not that a lot of people dont already have it. also, i never threatened anybody if you misinterpret my post that way its to your own detriment as a lot of people know and love me due to my character and kindness to others.

also noodle and giz in social settings i have multiple modes- the real truth is i DO have some pretty solid connections. at a later date through .org i can give you two some #s in manhattan and virginia if you need them. also in ilovedonks and only i love donks case allcowslick grass you can give him my number. i only text instead of chat with people i dont know well fyi. but long story i dont need to talk to anyone except people very close to me in real life. thank you everyoe for the kind words. i basically chickened out
