I am not asking for legal advice, Im doing it myself. I just need to know the math. The math involved in the timing from point (a) to point (b) as well as the deviation resulting from human error.
Thank you and happy Thanksgiving to all
Back around '79 I took a FCC license prep class to score a First Class License, required at the time for a decent production job at any TV station. After passing third, then second class tests and during the first class prep, the teacher offered a shot at the radar endorsement (required to work on aircraft radio and radar systems) with the promise you would be able to beat any speed trap ticket in court.
Unfortunately I was not interested in radio repair and passed it up.
I was in court once and watched every time someone tried to contest the accuracy of the radar, the judge gave the same answer. "This is the same technology that the FAA uses to guide airplanes in for a landing at an airport 100's of miles away from ATC. I am going with the radar results."
The only stumble was when the officer was asked if he had calibrated the radar gun that morning.
