Yes, it does. It tells us all that this is a great idea and should be implemented immediately!! :haloofinnocence:

I dont think a +1 system would be good for the strat forums. A lot beginners go there for advice, and having posts with a large positive number doesnt necessarily correlate to it being correct, just that a large number of people agree with it.

Sort of the reason i hate r/poker on reddit. Incorrect strategy gets upvoted to the top because most of the forum has no idea what theyre doing

Voting buttons are awful, but lacking a down vote button makes it worse.

I'm still pretty new so not sure where to put this, sorry guys. But I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything--there's no way to up-vote comments, right?

If there's not, I think it would be a really good addition. Obviously it's nice to be acknowledged, but the real beauty is that it would be a self-perpetuated system for the forum to collectively weight different comments in terms of quality. It seems like it would add another good facet to this already great poker resource.

We don't really have any control of this at the sub-forum level. This idea has been discussed before is "About the Forums," though apparently not in a while (at least at a quick glance), so I'll unlock and move there.

The first time I saw this on other forums, I thought it was odd. Now I regard it as a really good feature; usually uses verbiage of "liked" or "thanks", e.g. "# users liked this post" or "# users say thanks for this post".

It might seem kinda pointless at first blush, but from what I've seen it really cuts down a ton on LC / garbage replies like "+1" / "wut" / etc. A quick way to signal approval or appreciation would go a long way towards keeping forum quality high imo.

I don't know if it's a feature available on vBulletin forums, but pretty sure it is.

Er, didn't this get implemented by accident for about twenty minutes and removed because this isn't facebook where any terrible idea gets implemented because reasons?

It's not an election, no one cares how popular the popular people are.

But, do we care about how unpopular the unpopular people are? Or how popular the unpopular people are? Or how unpopular the popular people are???

Inquiring minds and all that....

I think a Like button would be quite harmless. Everybody can make a good post now and then, and get Likes. The Like is just about that post, kind of a +1, but not cluttering things up. The whole thing is a new experience to me, because I have participated in a specialty forum. It gives a new dimension to things.

One guy even wanted to become my friend, and he had under ten previous ones! The friend thing maybe not would be necessary to have though. But a simple Like could succeed. I remember I was against the whole thing earlier, but my mind has changed.

Just sayin'

Work with yourself man.

Seriously. You're one of the worst posters.

You are getting a mental infraction from me, right now.

Mods, how about ten points to Gin 'n Tonic for personal attack? I can take ten for my response, should have been the wiser of us two.
