In your poker life, have you won money, or lost money? How much have you tilted away at a level 10x the size you normally play? How much have you turned your initial deposit into? Do you deposit $50 a weekend and blow it all?

Overall, if you count up all your deposits, your with-drawls and what you have in your account now, are you a winning player?

Answers please, share some personal memories.

Down about $50,000 or so, perhaps a little more.

I am in a position where I can and could afford to lose a fair amount of money on my "hobbies". I didn't study the game, and I played for fun. In the last 6 months or so however, I have made it my goal to study poker and ensure that I improve day by day, week by week, month by month.

As a result, in the last 6 months I have been a breakeven player profiting each month from rakeback and bonuses which I earn. Things are improving, and now with the help of a coach I should be able to keep stepping up.

I reckon about 20% of all poker players make money. Most people on these forums study the game somewhat so I will take a guess that around 50% of people on this forum are winning players.

Obviously, just like when it comes to penis size polls, you are going to get a lot of liars.

haha 90% apparently has won money, so apparently the whole "95% of poker players are losing players" is really the opposite! who would have thought that?!!

because no one wants to click "no" if they're a losing player, so they just ignore this thread and go back to NVG.

So 90% of players here win? That's awesome, the 9% of the poker population must REALLY suck then..

you will get a much higher "winner" % on 2+2 because it is a small fraction of the poker community. A small fraction that the majority of the members (for the most part) studies and thinks about the game / discusses it with friends. For every one 2+2er there is 100 randoms who don't try to get better. If you could get statistics from the entire poker population there would be many more losers then winners (assuming everyone is honest).

With that being said I started with like a $25 deposit on party poker in like 1994 and then went on a sick heater. Im definitly up like a 100k or so..... ya about a 100k.
