ARGAHRGHGHH!
I've just had an absolute worst run of beats and cold decks I could have imagined possible. I have not met such hand-after-hand-after-hand gob-smacking frustration in a long long time.
Usually a 60%+ winning player, my 36 Heads Up SnGs for today were a disgusting, disgusting run of absolutely nothing going right. Massive suckouts all over the place, and one of those days where no matter what hand I had, the other dude had a slightly better hand. I had a run of TWELVE flush draws with turn and river to come where NONE of the flushes hit AND the dude went all the way to the river with me each time. Meanwhile he's hitting 4-card flushes like there's no tomorrow. Absolutely ludicrous. I had one game which lasted about 15 hands where I failed to pair the board on EVERY single occasion, and i finally get pocket 10s and push all in with not much stack left, and of course the dude hits two underpairs on the board. ARGH!
Top pair? Useless, other dude hit bottom two pair on the river after paying 1/2 his stack to get there.
Two pair? Useless, the dude hit trip 4s on the river despite large bets on earlier streets.
Trips? Useless, the other dude hit a river full house.
King high flush? Useless, dude hits straight flush.
Make my river straight? Useless, it gave the other dude a full house.
Dominating at all-in stage? Useless, dude hits trips/straight/4-card full house.
Aces? Useless, flop come mono-suit (not matching either Ace), turn brings another.
Kings? Useless, beat by 9-2 off suit two pair on river.
Blinds are large and dude makes all-in bet? I have trash. I finally find an ace and move all in? He has Ace bigger kicker. Manage to get all-in with the better hand? Useless, no matter how few outs he has.
Of course, the other times I hit whatever good hand, I very rarely get paid off as the other dude has hit nothing. Whenever I make a bluff play, the other dude has something. Whenever I check it down, with no betting, he has nothing.
All of this... over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I know beats happening is part of the game, no problem and it's something you ride out, but it's damn hard to take when it's just cold deck after cold deck the whole damn day. ARGHHHHH!
