The worst is self-sabotage like letting someone that you're better then tilt you... that or hearing someone's bad beat story

Dropping stakes substantially (and I'm talking 10 folds) to take the $ element out of the equation, and getting your **** pushed in by welfare bums.

Calling an all in by a stack that has you covered on the stone cold bubble with AA and watching runner runner get there on the river to knock you out.

(in a mtt you are way under rolled for but thought it was a good idea to take a shot)

I think one of the worst feelings is playing 5-6 hours in a tourney making it to the final table and getting knocked out in 9th place. You receive $100 for your efforts and 1st place was 2k+

When rich tourist keeps going all in and giving free double ups to everyone on table. Then when its your turn he gets lucky on his 5-8 off suit.

When you're in late position, 15-20bb deep, with a hand right within the range (KTs, A8o, 66, etc) to do a reshoved against the chronic min-raise-stealer to your right...

A) UTG min opens.

B) Everyone folds and as anticipated, the aggro min raises. You do your move and the guy to your immediate left snap calls. Hand is over before the action is down.

C) It's the big blind that wakes up with it. He'll shove, the aggro calls. You folded your sixes. BB has big pair, aggro had A7o, bricks.

Seeing that homeless nit win a $400 pot at the live $0.10/0.20 5 minutes before his cashout. And then him saying he has never seen that much money in his life before. He started with $20. He'll call the $0.20 but for anything more, his range was basically QQ+ and set+ on flops.

Someone can know so much about math and poker and be in that situation in their 40's. Today I officially break up my relationship with poker. Unless I can play the 2/5 NL comfortably I will not even bother playing.

It's the self hatred more than the money lost for me. Knowing you can beat the stake you're at but you let variance take control and subsequently *** you.

Lol funny to think that we all prob have similar stories like that.
So many times its 3-4 am and I'd have to be up in 3 hours for work just thinking to myself why the F didn't I just go to bed. Blowing my roll playing high stakes with 1-2 buyins lol

Not proud of it.

25 minute drive.
$6 in coffee expenses.
45 minute wait to sit down at a live 0.10/0.20.

Buy in for $20. Lose on first hand with suited rags. Rebuy for $40, raise to $3, face a reraise to $17, ship it all in with K5s. At this point in time I just want to see a run down. To the original reraiser, who has a whole $11.50 behind goes into the tank for literally 5 minutes. It came to a point where the table started berating and abusing said tanker. I wanted to flip the table over. Like, 25 minutes drive, 30bb in expenses already, 45 min wait and this tool is tanking a $11.50 call preflop with the pot being almost $40 already ffs.

Spoiler:
He folded.

Grunching. These are my worsts

1) Making it SUPER deep into a tournament and nearing the final table only to bust after playing for HOURS, leaving with either nothing or just a little more than what you bought in for
2) Getting sucked out on for all your money when you're an 80%++ favorite
3) Picking up AA in the BB after being card dead for a hot minute only to have everyone fold
4) Those rare moments where you have what should be the nuts and are facing serious action from what can ONLY be quads or a straight flush but either hand is so rare you end up calling your stack off anyways and losing
4) Getting successfully bluffed for a significant portion of your stack
5) 200BB+ sized coolers
6) Getting needled by a maniac whale after getting stacked by trash
7) Having someone call a huge bluff from you
8) Playing a big pot out of position with a hand that's not the nuts

-Finishing 10th on a big MTT on Stars.
-Picking up the blinds with AA definitely one of the worst.

Nope. Dead serious. First buy in max $20. Second buy-in max $40, third and beyond, $60. Sure the action plays like a live 0.25/0.50 (if there ever was one) in term of standard live raises. Still a pretty pathetic game. Half the players are corpses sitting with less than 5 bucks. Half the players don't even straddle to $0.40. One time I asked the guy to my right if he wanted to straddle his UTG (so that I could double) and he looked at me like I just asked him if he wanted the Chateau Margaux. One guy was holding up a seat with 60 cents in front of him. Sometimes you have to sit with the peasants to appreciate what you have in life.

And then you have the owners who will every now and then come to the backroom asking if anyone wants anything and if you say no they will give you a death stare that basically says "you are sitting in my commerce you better ****ing buy something or you're not welcomed". You can reply with "later I will take something" and they will give you that yeah-you-better look. Their begging for tips is just as pitiable as the guy folding top pair for his last $6 with $40 in the middle because he "needs to keep some money on him".

This is good. I'll add
9) Firing 2 bullets on a draw, giving up on the river, and losing to another busted draw with a better highcard.
