Just started playing 180 man sit n gos , I think I'm crushing with a bb/100 at 25.5bb/100 hands played. I've played around 10k hands and 260 180 man tournaments so far.
at 25.5 bb /100 I am break even in these due to variance, I'm just wondering what the variance looks like in these? How often can you run bad in these?

So far I have played 260 of these and I'm slightly losing with 25.5 bb/100 winrate

180 sit and gos have massive variance.

You need to play many thousands of them before getting anywhere.

Also bb/100 doesn't really mean much.

I can safely say once you have played about 10 of them and are winning then you can easily move up to the highest stakes. Thats what I did and now I live on a super yacht, with my own private chef and everything.

I would normally win about 7 out of 10 sit and gos, and bust the other 3. I think I ran pretty good, up about 1.2 billion lifetime.

bb/100 means plenty, like it could mean you're the best in the world but riggerstars will arrange it such that all your flip losses with be in critical late stages. Check your chip EV and it may well read the total opposite to the bb/100 version.

Here's an example. I have the highest bb/100 in the world in SnG's, yet due to my 2-3 handed graph here I'm only marginally winning instead of sunning it up in the Bahamas.

That is over 15,000 tournaments.

Check your BB/100 at the 25/50 level of the tournaments. If you are crushing that level, just move to 25/50 cash and print monies.

Just fold every hand the first 5 levels to get rid of the variance. Then start playing when the blinds get high and you only have a couple BB left. The variance will be a lot less this way.

I have a meagre sample of 1k games at the 2.50 180man turbos and I have about 35% roi. biggest downswing I encountered was 100buy in downswing. have sharkscoped regulars and noted 200 buy in downswings and longer breakeven stretches. unrelated sidenote: my roi based on my last 500 games (and evolving skill level) is closer to 50% will be interesting to see if this continues in my next 1k games
