I tell people I play poker because well, I do. It also always brings up the skill/luck argument and once you start talking math is when you begin to lose people in their own brain
remember distinctly fist year out of college was trying to explain to a girl at a bar why it's not just gambling and offered to take her up to my place and I'd deal out some cards and teach her the basics, we got like 2-3 hands in I'm trying to explain why she should have raised or something and she puts the cards down and I'm a thinking wtf I thought you wanted to learn about poker this is such a waste is time
that was the day I learned that "come up to my place for x" always means sex
