If their taxes are similar to Denmark and Sweeden then the govt. is the only one with "considerable wealth."

Lol "free" healthcare.

You think crooks can't find the rich people in America? CLUE: that guy with the Mahattan penthouse appartment is rich. That lady with the Rodeo Drive address is rich.

Publishing tax return info may be a privacy issue but keeping this secret does not make it harder for crooks to find rich pigeons to pluck.

Some people do a lot to cover up their wealth. Some people that are fairly wealthy still live fairly modestly. These are the people that it sucks for.

I still tell people I play online poker, but my god the questions and statements fk me off so bad-

you play for real money?

how do u take it out?

you will lose it all

you should take it out b4 u lose it all

"I had a decent win yesterday-$1100", real money?

you wont become a fulltime poker player, you should be a dentist

poker players are on top of the world 1 day and in the gutter the next, "sorry i forgot i said i was ***** pokie machine player"

I just can't stand when I tell someone I play poker for a living and their response is:
"You actually make money at that?"
"Yeah, I've been doing it for three years now."
"You know it's all luck right?"
"Well there is luck involved for sure, but if you know what you are doing there is a lot of money to be made."
"Trust me, it's all luck. I've got a friend who's been playing in a home game for years. He says it's all luck."
AArgh.

Random people always throw that one out. Family members come up with some good ones...

A couple years ago, I went to visit my Grandfather. When he asked about my new car, I said that I'd won the money for it playing poker. He got very concerned about my gambling problem, and I tried to put him at ease by mentioning that $60 of my own money was all I'd invested, which didn't help much. Then, I told him that I'd left my job and was playing for a living. I said I was much happier, and the reason I was able to come for the visit was because I had more money and free time than before.

He took me inside, sat me down, and said, "Brian, there are no easy ways to get through life. You can't spend your life trying to find ways to slide bye. You gotta keep your head down and your ass up just like everybody else."

When I told my Mother I was contemplating leaving my job, she said she thought it was a bad idea. I told her I'd be easily make more money. She said,
"Oh, I'm not concerned you won't make enough money, if you try I'm sure you can. I'm worried you'll sit around your house on the computer all day getting weird."

LOL...damned Mom was right again!

I still live w/ my parents. They work, I am free from school this time of the year. I only like see them in the evenings with dinner and watching tv and stuff.
Some random conversations:

Mom:"I'm playing online poker too now!"
Me: "wat"
Mom:"yeah, I'm playing 10cent freeroll limit holdem SNG's on Everest poker, someday I will be a millionair"
Me:"Well, goodluck with that"

Dad:"You look angry, how did poker go today"
Me:"Sux"
Dad:"what happened"
Me:"well, I got KQs on the BTN, i raised it up to 4 big blinds and..."
Dad:"What is a button. What is a Big blind?"
Me:"nevermind, I was unlucky today dad."

Mom:"You gotta cash out 50% of your winnings every week"
Me:"Sure"

Dad: "Allready won my porsche yet?" (For the record, I play 50NL and 100NL)

Me:"So i played 9 tables wih 50 bucks on it when..."
Dad:"OMG SO YOU COULD LOSE 450 DOLLARS IN THE BLINK OFF AN EYE"

I spoke to someone at my new job who said that online poker (like PokerStars) is run by 10 guys in a basement who are all playing against you so you can't ever win.

I haven't spoken to her since.

It's very annoying when my dad does that, and he's always only guessing. He simply assumes I've lost, and therefore deduces that I'm angry, without basing either assumption on anything
